Organizers of The Shell Show
The Sanibel Shell Show is organized by the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club.
They are looking for volunteers to help leading up to the show and during the show.
They are also looking for sponsors and advertisers. Sponsors and advertisers will be recognized in the Shell Show program which will be handed out to each attendee. Additionally, sponsors and advertisers will be recognized at the Show as well as promoted in the various social media channels
Where Does the Money Raised Go?
The net funds raised at the show are given out in grants to institutions doing research on water quality and other local environmental issues.
The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club also gives out grants to educational facilities to further the understanding of shell malacology.
A substantial portion of the funds in recent years has been donated to the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) on Sanibel.
