How Much is Sanibel & Captiva Beach Parking?

Sanibel & Captiva public beach parking is $5.00 per hour/7 days a week/24 hours a day.

The one exception is Alison Hagerup Beach Park on Captiva. Parking at Alison Hagerup is $15 for one hour, $25 for two hours or $40 for the day – dawn to dusk.

How to Pay for Parking with These Simple Steps!

Enter any of the public parking lots and park in any of the designated parking spots.
Take note of your license plate number, you will need this to complete payment.
Look for the parking information stand.
Use your mobile phone to text the code (called a P-code) that is on the information board in the parking lot. A site will come up to enter your payment information.
Payment is made via a credit card.
Alternatively, you can scan the QR code and click the link. The link will take you to a payment screen.

Notes about Parking at the Public Beaches

Parking is $5.00 per hour/24 hours a day/7 days a week. This has been the price since 2017.
The one exception to this rule is Alison Hagerup Beach on Captiva (SEE BELOW). The parking fee at Alison Hagerup is $15 for one hour, $25 for two hours or $40 for the day – dawn to dusk using the ParkMobile app.
You will receive a text when you have 15 minutes till your time runs out.
You can add more time whilst sitting on your beach towel! Just go back to the payment screen and simply add more time.
PLEASE NOTE you cannot pay for parking with cash or by inserting a credit card into a machine. You can only pay by using your mobile phone.

Is there Wi-Fi in the Sanibel Public Beach Parking Lots?

Yes, there is Wi-Fi in the public beach parking lots on Sanibel. The one exception is Lighthouse Beach Park.

Is Handicapped or Disabled Parking Free on Sanibel & Captiva?

Yes, handicapped (disabled) parking is free at the public beaches on Sanibel & Captiva as long as you display your handicapped placard.

Alison Hagerup Beach on Captiva is the one exception to this rule. Handicapped parking is NOT free at Alison Hagerup. The fee is the same as non-handicapped parking – $15 for one hour, $25 for 2 hours or all day for $40 – dawn to dusk.

Be Warned – There is a Steep Fine for Not Paying for Parking!

Park only within the designated areas that are open for beach parking. Make sure you pay for parking.

Failing to do so may result in a $150 fine. There is a parking task force that WILL give you a ticket.

This would surely put a big damper on your visit to the Islands!
