About The Florida Rep Theatre


The Florida Rep Theatre, Fort Myers is a first-class, award-winning regional theatre. They are celebrating 24 years of performance success! Boasting a robust season September thru April, the Florida Rep has earned an incredible reputation for high-quality shows and has been noted by the Wall Street Journal as “One of America’s Top Repertory Companies!”.  Presenting a wide variety of comedies, dramas, and musicals the Florida Rep is an important cultural and educational institution. It has a very active Education & Outreach wing serving over 33,000 young people yearly. Supplementing and enhancing arts programming in schools. They have Theatre for Young Audiences, Lunchbox Theatre, Camp Florida Rep, and a variety of classes and artists in residency programs. The Historic Arcade Theatre


The Historic Arcade Theatre is a beautifully restored 393-seat proscenium theatre and home to Florida Repertory Theatre. Originally a Vaudeville house and a movie theatre, the Arcade Theatre was built by brothers, Harvie and Gilmer Heitman in 1915.  Harvie was a visionary who oversaw the development of downtown Fort Myers which is now considered the historic district.
