Coastal Watch On Sanibel
Coastal Watch on Sanibel is an outreach program of SCCF’s Sanibel Sea School and is dedicated to protecting the ocean and estuaries. Currently, they are launching various community citizen science projects. These projects are intended to engage the public, create meaningful volunteer opportunities, and promote awareness of important environmental projects. They have several initiatives including Back To Our Roots which restores mangroves and Red Tide monitoring. We spoke with Coastal Watch’s Conservation Initiative Coordinator Kealy McNeal about the various programs.
