Sanibel Carts Golf Cart Rental is a great, local source for street legal golf cart rentals! Golf carts are a wonderful way to get around Sanibel & Captiva and are a little easier on the environment as they are electric and solar-paneled. The speed limit on Sanibel & Captiva is 35mph and the carts go up to 25mph. They are street-legal meaning they have seat belts, turn signals and mirrors and, on a full charge can travel up to 35 miles. You can travel on the roads from the very east end of Sanibel from the Lighthouse all the way to Captiva and back! The carts are insured but, the driver will be insured under their own driver’s insurance. The carts are only for use on Sanibel & Captiva, they are not allowed on the causeway or on the bike paths, they can only be driven on the roadways. The carts are 4 & 6 seaters. You must be 21 or older to drive a golf cart.
