Hosted by the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, this beloved holiday event transforms both islands into a sparkling coastal wonderland.
Whether you’re a longtime islander or visiting for the first time, the Luminary Stroll is one of the most magical weekends of the year on Sanibel and Captiva.

What to Expect at the Luminary Stroll
The Luminary Stroll is all about holiday joy, island hospitality, and the charm that makes Sanibel & Captiva unforgettable. Expect:

Kids (and adults!) can meet Santa at various stops along the route.

Local performers, carolers, and musicians fill the night with festive sounds.

🕯️ Miles of Glowing Lanterns
Sanibel’s Shared Use Path lights up with thousands of luminaries, creating a magical “glow trail” across the island. The island businesses will have all sorts of things going on and, will have creative, decorative storefronts that will be complemented by the miles of sparkling candle lanterns.
🛍️ Holiday Shopping & Local Specials
Island restaurants and shops offer holiday treats, discounts, giveaways, and festive storefronts decorated just for the stroll.
