The Native Landscapes & Garden Center

This wonderful organization, part of the SCCF, has approximately 150 species of native flowers, shrubs, and trees. The mission of the center is to educate residents and visitors about the benefits of native plants. The grow their plants from local seed sources. They hold tours, plant-related classes, and workshops. They have a demonstration garden and hope to inspire patrons to grow native plants on their own properties.

The benefits of native plants are many. They help wildlife survive. They play a part in maintaining a better quality of water and they help fight the spread of invasive, non-native plants. The center has knowledgeable on-site staff who can answer the various questions visitors may have about the importance of maintaining a garden that helps preserve the local habitat.
