The Sanibel Island Road Rally
The Sanibel Island Road Rally is a Fourth of July island tradition. Essentially the rally is a fun-filled scavenger hunt in your vehicle. Each team is given a sheet with approximately 100 questions. You will find the answers to the questions by driving along a designated route.
The Road Rally was first started in 1979 by the Islander Newspaper, changed hands to the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce, then to the Sanibel Optimist Club, and now is being headed up by The Friends of Randy of Sanibel. The Friends of Randy is a non-profit Florida charitable organization. The proceeds from the 2022 rally will go to CHR (Sanibel Community Housing & Resources)
