Charitable & Social Clubs Of Sanibel


There are numerous, fun charitable & social clubs of Sanibel to get involved with and help support the local community. Depending on your hobbies and affiliations, Sanibel and Captiva have some excellent groups to join or, volunteer with. 


Sanibel Lions Club


The Sanibel Captiva Lions Club was established in 1967 and their charitable efforts are focused on supporting organizations that help the blind. They meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month at Sanibel Community House at 6pm. They hold several annual fundraisers.  For more information visit SanibelCaptivaLions.org

Kiwanis Club Of Sanibel Captiva


The Kiwanis Club of Sanibel was established in 1973 with its charitable focus being on children. They meet at the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club every Tuesday at 7am.  They hold many fun, annual events including The Santa Run and an All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner. Sanibel Rotary Club


Established in 1980, the Sanibel Rotary Club has several fundraisers a year and supports many local organizations with their charitable work. One of the biggest events they have is their Arts & Crafts Festival which will be held February 19 & 20, 2022. The rotary club meets at the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club on Friday mornings at 7am. Sanibel Captiva Optimists Club


Founded in 1997, the Sanibel Captiva Optimists Club raises money to support local youth in the community. They have several fun events each year including the Sanibel Blues & Jazz Festival and the Uncorked Wine Festival. For more information go to SanCapOptimist.org.

Sanibel Captiva Zonta Group


Founded in 1987, the Sanibel Captiva Zonta Club supports various groups that support women.  They have a signature fundraiser called Peek Unique which is a guided tour of four Sanibel residences and also hold various art auctions, charity appraisals and other fun activities. The American Legion Post 123


The American Legion Post 123 is located at 4249 Sanibel Captiva Rd, and supports veteran issues. It’s success is built around membership and volunteerism. They have a popular restaurant and hold various fun weekly activities. For more information call 239-472-9979.
