The Sanibel Café

The Sanibel Café has been serving up delicious home cooking since 1984. Founder Lynda Leonard Boyce purchased it and turned it from a pancake and omelet house into The Sanibel Café.  The Café has always been a favorite for locals and tourists. In 2006 current owners Ken and Richard took over and have been maintaining its superb reputation ever since!

Serving breakfast and lunch daily, the Café has a robust breakfast menu offering classics such as eggs benedict, omelets, pancakes, french toast. And some island favorites including shrimp & Grits and even sauteed gator! The lunch menu has soups and salads, sandwiches, burgers, paninis, wraps, and a variety of delicious croissandwiches!

The Famous Sanibel Café Table Tops!

The Café is famous for its unique, decorative tables. Each table has a glass top display showcasing the most incredible arrangments of fossilized seashells. The shells, hand-picked by artists Sue Stephens, are from fossil pits around Florida and date back to the Miocene and Pliocene Eras of the Ice Ages so they are 1.8 to 24 million years old!
