This restaurant on Captiva Island is a little slice of paradise! With both indoor and outdoor seating you’ll find yourself nestled right on the Roosevelt Channel. This location allows for a wonderful overlook of Pine Island Sound and Buck Key two of Captiva’s most pristine and tranquil waters!

When diving into the menu you’ll find this is a destination for traditional dining with a European flair! If you’re traveling with family, especially children, we couldn’t recommend this place enough! 

Enjoy live music daily, and choose between dining inside or out! Outside you’ll find a swing ring game to keep the kids entertained, and a lovely deck area with nice lighting and a casual island vibe. 

RC Otter’s is open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner all of which are truly delicious! Breakfast is a personal favorite for us we love pancakes, french toast, and delicious omelets filled with a wide choice of toppings!

Keylime Bistro has more than just delicious Keylime pie, it has an amazing menu from breakfast to dinner! Another spot for live music, there will be someone to bring the good energy, rain, or shine on their live musician schedule.

Choose between indoor seating or the outside area to enjoy some Florida sunshine and fresh air! The breakfast is our favorite this is a wonderful place to start your morning, relaxed, delivering a quaint little island hang out. 

The service is wonderful and the food delicious from the dinner menu we enjoy the Seafood sampler, burger, and paella! For any meal of the day Keylime Bistro is a wonderful restaurant on Captiva Island for the whole family!

Another bonus is the full-service bar and menu of tropical drinks! Something about the soft guitar in the background makes you want to keep coming back!

Don’t forget to try the Keylime pie! It really is amazing, award-winning, and quite possibly the best on the island!

The best way to enjoy the Mucky Duck is to grab a table outside, order some appetizers, and a drink from the bar, and watch the sun go down! Be sure to arrive early, no reservations here. 

The indoor dining area is a wonderful place to grab lunch or dinner, keep in mind there is a 2-hour gap between the two from 3 pm-5 pm no food is served!

Location, location, location! The Mucky Duck is an English Pub style restaurant nestled among the sand, shore, and breeze. With plentiful picnic tables and beach chairs to choose from enjoy a drink with a view!

Mucky Duck has quick and easy access to the beach for anyone dining with them, taking a walk, and watching the sunset against the waves! Often featuring live music outdoors, a swing ring game for the kids, and truly immaculate vibes!

The food is wonderful but this has been a family favorite for years and it’s the scenery and ambiance that keeps us coming back for sunsets! The delicious menu is just a bonus!

The Bubble Room is loved by visitors, especially if you enjoy antiques, niche decor, and Christmas lights! An interesting combination but Bubble embodies a very unique ambiance of antique goods decorating the walls. 

The best thing about Bubble Room is without a doubt their amazing homemade cakes! Truly remarkable our favorite is the Orange Crunch Cake, sweet, fruity, soft, and delicious!

Our favorite way to enjoy a slice is to-go, stop by for dessert, and order your favorite cake! Then head over to the beach, put down a blanket, and watch the sun go down with dessert in hand!

If you choose to dine at the Bubble Room it is truly an experience in itself, great for kids! You will be served by a “Bubble Scout”, the name given to their personable staff members. The food is delicious for both lunch and dinner our favorite menu items are the French Onion Soup and Bubble Bread. The decor is suited for a great game of iSpy!

Sunshine Seafood Cafe & Wine Bar is a casual spot with a lovely vibe and respectable wine list. With the option to dine inside or out you can enjoy apps and drinks in any atmosphere!

From their menu, we enjoy the seafood appetizers the most! Can’t go wrong with Sea Scallops and Goat Cheese appetizer, Sauteed Brussels Sprouts, and Crab Cakes! 

Of course, this is a wine bar as the drinks menu is filled with delicious wines for anyone who appreciates a good glass! The staff is knowledgeable about recommendations and Island favorites. 

Often considered Captiva’s best-kept secret for dining, this statement proves to be true. The seating is fairly limited compared to other restaurants and the crowd is a bit older. Still Sunshine is family-friendly and definitely worth the visit!

It is important to note that Sunshine Seafood CLOSES for the Summer, and opens on November 11th, 2022!

The best Mexican food on the Island! Cantina Captiva is known for its delicious authentic Mexican food, featuring spicy salsa, burritos, tacos, and of course margaritas!

This spot is quite small so look out or you might miss it. The inside is quaint as well so it does fill up quickly but if you get the chance to grab a bite it will be worth any wait!

A very relaxed environment with good drinks, cold beer, and even some island Sangria! The perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner after a long day at the beach.

Some of our personal favorites are the Nachos which are large enough for the family to share, delicious tamales, and quesadillas for any appetite!

We love Doc Ford’s it is among our favorite restaurants on Sanibel Island as they have a few locations! 

This restaurant has the perfect combination of fine dining and relaxing vacation vibes. The menu is delicious for lunch and dinner, not to be missed is their Yucatan Shrimp! 

Doc Ford has a truly interesting back story as it all started from some books, featuring the main character Doc Ford! In collaboration with the author, the dream became reality and this whimsical ocean-inspired restaurant came to life!

The drink menu showcases a wide variety of Rum’s and even better, Rum Cocktails are the perfect tropical thirst quencher! 

The live music is wonderful and you can enjoy outdoor or indoor dining, both pleasant experiences! We couldn’t recommend Doc Ford’s enough truly must try it!

If you’re out on the water Mainstay and Barnacles Bar is a must-visit, but only by boat or water taxi! 

This is one of North Captiva’s hidden gems, located on a nearby little Island off the coast at mile marker #48. 

The menu is filled with amazing options American bites, shareable snacks, and a delicious selection of sandwiches or burgers, this is the spot to be for lunch or dinner during boat day!

Of course, you’re literally on the water! Walk down the dock to see the many picnic tables for outdoor seating and the gift store next door! 

The gift store offers delicious ice cream and a few souvenirs or boating necessities. All of your snacks and island essentials can be picked up at this stop!

Some of our personal favorite starter options are kung pao calamari and bacon-wrapped scallops! Choose to dine from the field or from the sea on the dinner entrees, there are also a few vegetarian/vegan options, and the crispy cauliflower is delicious.

The Pointe is a poolside restaurant located in South Seas Island Resort! There is no better way to spend the day with the family than at the pool!

While you spend the day in the sun and water this is the perfect spot to grab a meal, snack, or poolside cocktail! You can settle down in any lounge chair, table, or pool deck seating option and order through lunch and dinner. 

The menu is fairly limited but we enjoy the Grouper Sandwich and Cheeseburger in Paradise! From mojitos to margaritas the bar is full and filled with tons of cocktails.
