Towards the north end of Periwinkle Way is a delightful shopping plaza called The Village Shops. This pretty little plaza is home to some of the most unique and charming stores that Sanibel has to offer. It also has a popular bistro and wine bar and, a highly acclaimed contemporary art gallery. What is extremely special about The Village Shops is that most businesses are women-owned. Each owner has their own, individual style that permeates through the elegant surroundings. There are 2 boutique clothing stores, Coco y Cabana and Why Knot. A gift shop that will surely inspire called Priscilla’s of Sanibel. A robust and diverse book store named MacIntosh Books & Paper, a father and son owned salon called Tribeca, and of course the T2 Bistro and impressive Watson MacRae Gallery. It’s worth spending an afternoon absorbing the ambiance. Treat yourself or a loved one, to something incredibly special.
