‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa

This lovely resort has historic charm in spades. The main building has a relaxed colonial feel about it. They have lots of amenities including a spa, a large lagoon-like swimming pool, a hot tub, an adult pool, a pool bar, and a marina with docking.

‘Tween waters is truly a personal family favorite for us even as locals! We enjoy a staycation here from time to time, considering there are so many ways to stay.

Choose between 137 tropical, luxurious, and charming cottages, suites, or studios! The Captiva Island Cottages are perfect for a family getaway giving the feeling of a home away from home. All of the rooms are fantastic between the guestrooms or fully equipped suites with kitchen and living areas!

The resort is quite large so not every stay has a view of the beach but the website makes it easier than ever to filter by the view! No matter where you end up the beach won’t be far and neither will the wonderful restaurants and amenities.

When it comes time to dine at the resort Crows Nest is a newly renovated option coming soon to be finished this winter of 2022. The Captiva House is a more formal dining room with a lovely historical feel yet still luxurious and delicious.

Tween Waters is a popular destination for weddings and is opposite Turner Beach and very close to Blind Pass Beach which has excellent fishing.

Where To Eat On Captiva Island?

Throughout Sanibel & Captiva Island there are tons of restaurants to choose from, all boasting a delicious variety of fresh local seafood! If you’re staying for a few days it’s definitely worth the trip to check out one of the Sanibel Island restaurants.

Captiva is home to quite a few restaurants and of course, we have our favorites!

A local favorite and our top choice is Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill! This restaurant is a perfect combination of fine dining and island vibes. The food is amazing with lovely seafood and must-try Yucatan Shrimp, along with American fare, and options for all dietary needs.

The Mucky Duck is a beach lover’s favorite as it is located right on the shore! This is a wonderful place for sunset and appetizers with friends and family. Set up to be reminiscent of a British-style pub the drinks a great and the vibe is casual!

Our final recommendation is the Old Captiva House located in ‘Tween Waters Island Resort! This location is a bit more upscale and the food is seriously amazing. The restaurant is a top destination for contemporary design, classic style, and of course a delicious menu filled with fresh seafood.
