The Timbers & The Sanibel Grill
Established in 1991, The Timbers Restuarant & Fish Market opened on Tarpon Bay Rd with the Sanibel Grill in the same location. The Sanibel Grill was Sanibel Island’s first sports bar and was designed as a waiting area for Timbers. The Sanibel Grill soon became its own establishment with a casual menu featuring wings, pizza, shrimp, and more. Timbers is a little more upscale. The menu is heavily fresh fish. They are known for their huge oyster variety, sushi, and fish market. Timbers holds true to its tagline of “at the Timbers FISH HAPPENS”.
