The museums’ mission is to conserve, preserve, interpret and celebrate shells. The museum achieves this by having amazing collections.   They have over 30 permanent exhibitions, special temporary exhibitions, and a living gallery with over 50 species of marine life. The recent introduction of OctoCam seeks to allow people to watch these amazing creatures swim, eat and play
