Explore Captiva Island’s Redfish Pass, a beautiful stretch of ocean separating Captiva Island from North Captiva.

Captiva Island’s Redfish Pass

Captiva Island’s Redfish Pass is a small waterway that separates Captiva Island from North Captiva. It was created in 1921 when a hurricane separated Captiva from North Captiva. North Captiva is only accessible by boat and has approximately 350 residential properties, many of them rentals.

The Captiva side of Redfish Pass runs along the edge of the gorgeous South Sea’s Island Resort. The resort has amazing beachfront properties, a wonderful golf course, and an incredible stretch of beach.  If you’re into fishing this is a great spot to catch redfish, snook, and sheepshead. A truly stunning part of Captiva Island.
